I’ve travelled for almost 8 hours to get there and come back. Was it worth it?
Definitely it was!
Legal Marketing Luncheon attendees were marketing directors from every part of Italy and even English and American professionals. Some of the participants I met are Giovanni Lega (ASLA president - associated law firms associations) Paola Parigi one of Italian most famous legal marketing pioneer as well as Silvia Hodges and Marketude managing parters Giulia Picchi and Simone Pasquini. Gianni, Origoni, Grippo & Partners marketing director Barbara Olivieri (Rome) and Graziella Furci - Baker Mckenzie. I also met people from two leading legal magazines publishers - The European Lawyer and Top Legal - and a professional of websites optimization, Sean Carlos from Boston. He was giving me advices on how to use Feed RSS but unfortunately we couldn't finish the conversation, maybe next time!
Chris Hinze gave a remarkable speech about how to write a marketing plan.
It was such a huge topic, it could cover a whole course!
but he was able to explain it in just 2 hours by focusing on some specific aspects - the importance of finding the right questions a good marketing plan need to give an answer. How to develop and implement reputation management programs (he doesn’t like to use the term “brand” he said, because it seems to refer to colours and advertising). He also focused on the importance of undertaking client satisfaction feedback initiatives and how to choose the area of practice the law firm should develop.
